Dr Paulette Maroun
gynaecologist & endoscopic surgeon
Dr Paulette Maroun (MBBS FRANZCOG) has over 20 years’ experience and is one of Sydney’s highly regarded gynaecologists and minimally invasive endoscopic surgeons. This reputation stems from her medical acumen, and from a genuine interest in her patients and an empathetic bedside manner. Paulette’s goal is to provide patients with up to date conventional gynaecological investigations and treatment. She is passionate about her patients getting assistance from experienced complementary practitioners wherever suitable for optimum results.
Paulette was a presenter at the RACGP: Integrative approaches to Women’s Health, which was a workshop created to help and educate GPs on how to provide women with the best available evidence-based therapy for patients, and to make informed decisions regarding their treatment. She was also a fellow in research, and published a paper on the relationship between irritable bowel syndrome and endometriosis. She then presented the results of the research both nationally and internationally and won an award for her presentations. She is currently enrolled at University of Technology as a PhD student researching the role of complementary treatment of early cervical dysplasia and HPV.
In her private practice, Dr Paulette Maroun became aware of the gap between conventional and complementary paradigms which alienated some women from conventional management . This lead to self-made diagnoses, unsafe practices and delayed or missed serious diagnoses. Paulette ‘ s mission is to bridge the gap.
Paulette is the mind behind the Paradigm & Co. concept.
